There are hundreds of different types of sports, with no definitive answer to the question “What is a sport?” In a competitive setting, golf, soccer, swimming, billiards, tennis, volley ball, basketball, cycling, karate, golf, track and field, and cheerleading are all included.

Some of the more prestigious sporting events include the FIFA World Cup, Rugby World Cup, the Olympic Games, and the Asian Games. These tournaments have a combined audience of over six billion.

The Olympics is a rite of passage for many young athletes. The Olympics is a great example of how politics can get in the way of sports. This particular example occurred during the 1972 Games in Munich, Germany.

A well-organized sport can teach teamwork and effective communication. It can also promote the use of performance-enhancing drugs. Despite the fact that cheating is not encouraged, there are ways to take advantage of the system.
